Our standard merino yarns are spun from the finest Australian merino wool - mulesing-free, of course. Around 40% of the world's wool comes from merino sheep. Their fibres have a particularly fine crimp, resulting in a yarn that is elastic yet holds its shape beautifully. The natural benefits of sheep's wool, such as temperature regulation, moisture management and odour resistance, are especially pronounced in merino. Our merino yarns are perfect for timeless, high-quality classics you'll enjoy for years to come, as well as for soft, skin-friendly baby and children's clothing that stands up beautifully to frequent washing and wearing.

Weight group is derived from measured gauge, not the brand's label — that is why a yarn labelled "aran / worsted" can sit in our Aran group while another brand's "worsted" lands in DK. Library: 1406 yarns · 42 brands · 135 without gauge · 276/1408 gauge rows missing row count.
